Goodbye!

There hasn't been much interest or feedback in this blog so I am going back to my life as a normal housecat.

How to Make Christmas Cat Treats

I came across the recipe and will have to try it. Don't forget your feline friends like to get into the Christmas spirit too! These treats are made of healthy and wholesome ingredients.

Instructions
Things You'll Need:
1 1/2 cup leftover turkey or chicken
2/3 cup cooked pumpkin or squash, mashed
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. catnip
2 tsp. dried kelp
Mixing bowl

Molasses Cat Treats
1.Combine the whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, soy flour, wheat germ and powdered milk in a large mixing bowl.
2. Beat the egg lightly with a fork and add it to the dry ingredients along with the milk, oil, catnip, shredded cheese and molasses. If the dough is too thick, add a few more drops of milk.
3. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it to a thickness of about 1/8 inch with a rolling pin.
4. Cut the dough into kitty-sized pieces and bake them for 20 minutes. Prop the door open and allow the molasses cat treats to cool in the oven before removing.
5. Store the cooled molasses cat treats in an airtight container.

Holiday Treats
1. Place all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
2. Combine the ingredients with your hands.
3. Roll the holiday treats into small balls and feed them to your kitty.
4. Store extra holiday treats in the refrigerator, or freeze them for later use.

Cat lefse recipe!

Tis the season and in this house that means lefse. In the past I haven’t got much of a chance to partake but this year that is going to change! So here’s the plan, there’s left over turkey from Thanksgiving, so I’m going to make turkey wrapped in lefse!

Here’s the recipe
1/4 cup shredded turkey
1/2 can turkey cat food, I used fancy feast
1 lefse
A pinch of mozzarella cheese

Cut into small pieces and enjoy, now this is living!

What am I? Chop liver?

Of course not, I'm a handsome tuxedo cat, but chop liver was on the menu tonight. This was really easy to make and was absolutely delicious! I diced up some chicken livers, it only took a few. Then I heated a little corn oil in a pan and sauteed the liver for a few minutes until it browns, 2-3 minutes. After it browned I put it on a dish and garnished with some parsley greens. We do like greens in our food too, just check to make sure whatever kind of greens you pick are safe for cats.

This cat reminds me of Cher. Gypsies, Cats and thieves!! I’m not always a big fan of dress up time, but I do have to admit I love the extra attention it brings. Holiday time I usually don a santa hat and do silly pictures with my roommates, and then there’s the cowboy costume, but I’ll save that for next year. There’s now a Kitty wig eStore for all the glamour cats out there, how fun!

Here’s to all the sophistiCATS!
